I am seeking a qualified experienced Commercial Finance Manager who has previous bids/tender experience and who thrives in the variety it brings to join this well known employer.
The role of the Commercial Finance Manager is to act as the interface between finance and sales teams to establish the pricing strategy for bids, ensuring a coherent and commercially viable output, thus be able to support, advise and challenge to ensure these are achieved.
You will provide commercial, financial and strategic expertise to drive informed decisions and optimal return on resources and investments, driving insightful financial planning and value-oriented support to the business.
Key responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager job will include:
-Take a lead role in the independent review and analysis of bids and other proposals, facilitating internal approvals and providing support to subsequent contract negotiations
-Being a trusted advisor within the senior management teams whilst also maintaining a level of independence and having confidence and interpersonal skills to challenge performance
-Assurance of all cost and price data, ensuring proposals are properly prepared and approved in line with group guideline.
-Support price audits and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with the approved position is achieved.
-Demonstrable experience of being able to deal with the complexity of projects spread across different sectors
-Managing relationships cross functionally to ensure data integrity is well understood and provided in a timely manner
-Making recommendations for decisions which are consistent with company policy
The ideal Commercial Finance Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:
-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
-Previous experience of the organisations costing and pricing methodologies
-Strong working knowledge of systems, preferably SAP & Excel
-Strong business partner relationship builder
