Consultant, Transition

The Restructure team within the Transitions division is responsible for servicing external investment managers appointed for the purpose of re-balancing and restructuring a client's portfolio.
The Restructure Consultant acts as a single point of contact for the investment manager during their period of appointment.
The Restructure Consultant will take ownership for overseeing the investment manager's activity for the full duration of the restructure event providing a level of market expertise and operational oversight in the process.


The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Responsible for Project managing a Restructure Managers activity throughout the desired trading period.
• The timely resolution of all settlement issues and outstanding transactions.
• Responsible for all settlement and outstanding issues and the efficient and timely resolution of any outstanding trade instructions.
• Participation in Transition event planning/review meetings as required by the Investment Manager/Client.
• Acting as a point of contact and SME on Restructure related issues for high profile NT clients such as Blackrock Global Investors and LGIM.
• Monitoring client cash management.
• Liaising with Transition Managers and responding to any queries within a specified timeframe.
• Ensuring all required daily reporting is set up and sent to Investment Managers for all active restructures.
• Cash and stock reconciliations - monitoring and resolution of entries created by the IM's trading activity.
• To initiate and actively contribute to the continued improvement of team functions and processes.

Requirements:


• A broad understanding of transitions and custody operations.
• Previous experience within a transitions/investment manager support role would be advantageous
• Experience in a securities operations environment with strong emphasis to the life cycle of a trade desirable
• Excellent time management/prioritization skills
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to work under pressure
• Good project management skills. Ability to manage numerous events concurrently. Confidence to co-ordinate and run event meetings and conference calls.
• Comfortable dealing with and influencing internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
• Ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written.)
• Client facing and client presentation skills
