Manager - People Advisory Services (PAS)
People Advisory Services (PAS) harnesses the collective power of our Human Capital and People & Organizational Change practices into a new, integrated global sub-service line. With an enhanced set of joint people capabilities, we provide our clients with a set of integrated services and offerings solving their most pertinent people-related business challenges.
PAS has been identified as an area of growth as clients increasingly require advice in building their people's capabilities at a time when global demand for talent and scare skills is at its highest. As well as attracting and retaining individual talent, clients are also looking at how they raise overall organisational performance through the entire workforce.
This means building their capabilities, processes and systems in workforce optimisation, inclusion, organisational development and culture.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include core consulting,programme delivery and specialist advice across a variety of areas, activities will typically include:
- Structure and manage projects and programmes to meet and exceed client expectations;
- Implement leading project management practices
- Execute project management across the full lifecycle of programmes
- Manage project delivery, budget, profitability and scope
- Recognise and manage risks and issues
- Represent your teams, workstreams and projects in relevant steering committees
- Be able to analyse complex problems and to deliver insightful, practical and sustainable solutions.
- Contribute to the development of a culture service, engagement offering and people strategies.
- Proactively manage senior client stakeholders, including delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues, up to Senior Management and C-Suite levels.
- Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement
Business Development
- Contribute towards and lead business development and client pursuit efforts by preparing proposals and delivering winning proposals and presentations to clients
- Industry sector and client account development - ability to identify and build new opportunities and client relationships within industry sector or particular account
- Ability to identify and build new opportunities and client relationships
- Appropriate insight of the market and trends
Practice and People management
- Identifies and discusses opportunities to delegate work to less experienced team members
- Provides learning opportunities for less experienced team members with agreement from Senior Managers, and reviews delegated work
- Provides timely, authentic and constructive feedback to colleagues and seeks feedback in return
- Assists with the integration and inclusion of new team members
- Be up to date with key technical and functional skills, and with industry, business and leadership skills & knowledge - and share this expertise with others
- Encourages development of team members though formal and informal coaching
- Reinforces our values, through day to day behaviour and challenge disrespectful behaviour
To qualify for the role you must have at least four of the following
- Proven experience in one or more of the following: Change Management/Transformation, Operating model and Organisation Design, workforce planning and analytics and/or HR Business Partner activities - restructuring / D&I / TUPE / JE
- Experienced management consultant/Talent professional with relevant experience in advising clients on large scale talent programmes and change projects within large and complex organisations
- Proven track record of delivering Talent/HR related projects
- A proven track record of shaping and running complex, high profile, profitable engagements which create value for clients in the areas outlined above
- Demonstrated track record of building client relationships
- A proven track record of proactively managing client stakeholders, including providing constructive challenge, influencing decisions, providing robust advice, delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues, at your commensurate level
Ideally, you'll also have
- A primary degree (from a leading university preferred) and any post graduate degrees and professional qualifications are also desirable but not critical e.g. CIPD
- SC Security Clearance
- Experience of working on projects gained working within a professional services firm, global consultancy firm and/or large private and/or public sector organisations
