Responsibilities: Review of month- and year-end management accounts Preparation and review of statutory accounts Approval of month end reconciliations and journals Completion of ad hoc projects/analysis, as assigned by Finance Directors Compliance with SOX, internal audit and internal controls Adherence to Service Level Agreements Oversight of transfer pricing and intercompany accounting Driver of system and process improvement, streamlining controls and process standardisation Team coaching, development, and regular performance reviews Skills: Establishing procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization Developing and utilizing collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals Generating innovative solutions by thinking outside the box for new ways to solve problems and present new opportunities Demonstrating a professional attitude that commands attention and respect and creates an image that shows the values of the organization Establishing systems to recruit and retain highly talented individuals; creating a work environment where everyone can realise their full potential and help the business meets its current and future business goals Using present financial data to discover strengths and weaknesses of the company and identify potential strategies to overcome these weaknesses and utilize these strengths Requirements: Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA); minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience 'Big 4' trained accounting background Work within an SSC environment Knowledge of U.S GAAP, SOX and internal controls Advanced knowledge of Excel Degree of fluency in German and/or Italian is beneficial Ability to thrive in a leadership capacity Great attitude and enthusiasm to get work done Works well under pressure Ability to identify and understand technical accounting issues, conduct research, reach and document well-reasoned conclusions in conjunction with the SSC and US Finance organisations Demonstrates commitment to GAAP and company regulations for accounting procedures Displays a professional demeanour when handling work errors or problems Detail oriented and effective problem-solving skills Proficient project planning skills and ability to multitask in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting responsibilities Ability to clearly communicate to peers and superiors in the company and an enthusiasm to work with others on projects or in teams Ability to organize, plan and execute projects from beginning to end across multiple internal and external reporting and organization lines Self-motivated and works well independently with the desire to rise within a very dynamic, rapidly evolving environment Ability to solve complex problems through creativity and innovation Committed to driving continuous improvement of work product, self and team Ability to work hands-on to achieve goals within a small entrepreneurial culture Consistently demonstrates a commitment to company policies and procedures Willing to work extended, non-traditional hours as needed during peak accounting periods, such as month-end or year-end reporting periods By applying for this role not only will your application be considered for this position but your details will be stored in our database and may be considered for similar future positions that may arise.
