Group Accountant

Our client is a well established, rapidly expanding business based in Watford. Due to their continued success, they are now looking to recruit a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with strong technical and analytical skills.

This newly created role will have two main parts; firstly supporting and monitoring the overseas business, and secondly providing project accounting support to key projects within the business.

• Understand the existing overseas business structure and build up local contacts to enable you to develop Management Information and Control procedures.
• Coordination of overseas Management information and reporting
• Assist in providing accounting and taxation advice for overseas entities
• Assist from a financial and compliance perspective in the set up of any new overseas entities
• Financing modelling for major new bids
• Project accounting support for large projects
• Ad hoc analysis and research projects for the Finance Director

This is at present a "stand alone" position within the Finance department as the rest of the team is UK focussed, so will require the successful candidate to be able to use their initiative, be proactive and keen to develop and progress their career. Due to the nature of the role, there will be an element of international travel, although it is envisaged that this will be no more than once a month.
