Assistant Accountant

Our exclusive client is a successful, fast growing manufacturing business based in the Doncaster area. They are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their proactive finance team in a newly created role. Assisting the Finance Manager, this role will see you being heavily involved with Management Accounts, Statutory Reporting and Operational Analysis.

The role will see you work for a passionate fast paced organisation within a busy accounts department. The successful candidate will get involved in reconciliation of the nominal ledgers, journal entries, accruals and prepayments, preparation of monthly management accounts for review, balance sheet reconciliations, financial & operational analysis, VAT, Tax and intrastat returns, assisting with audits and producing various ad hoc sales and commercial reports.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified (although part qualified ACCA/ CIMA would be considered, be excel literate and exposure of management accounts preparation. As a team player you will take pride in the accuracy of your work, have an inquisitive mind and work well to deadlines. This is an excellent role for an 'all rounder' with a proven background in a similar role.
