The opportunity As a business tax professional working from EYsInverness office youll provide a full range of compliance services with a strong emphasis on trusts. The role will involve full reporting requirements, trust accounting, trust administration and trust tax. You will report direct to the trust tax team in Inverness servicing and growing relationships with external clients and the other EY offices. Youll be working alongside the business tax team on a day to day basis to help our clients through the challenges of planning, financial accounting and tax compliance. The work encompasses a varied portfolio of clients from High Net Worth Individuals, Landed Estates and Trusts to Complex Family Business. This role will offer broad experience with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, responsibility in key decisions and a more varied portfolio to help you develop your career with EY. Your key responsibilities To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of full range of tax and accounting services to our clients Assist with the successful delivery of EY Absolute, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service Build relationships within the firm, identifying opportunities and managing expectations Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients. Responsible for day-to-day client liaison Assist management in providing full accounting services to a client portfolio together with other team members Skills and attributes for success Strong technical skills and keen to develop further Ability to build strong client relationships Relationship management skills with ability to manage client expectations Ability to build effective relationships at all levels Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards Client focused and commercially aware Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically To qualify for the role you must be ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent professional experience.
