Investment administrator for large fast growing Financial Services organisation based in Haywards Heath
Client Details
Our client is a large, fast growing Financial Services organisation in Haywards Heath that are going through a period of year on year growth.
Description
- Ensure new investment applications meet our acceptance criteria
- Ensure investment companies with whom clients wish to invest meet our acceptance criteria
- Ensure the application forms and agreements used and in place with investment companies are acceptable
- Process requests to open new investment accounts
- Process requests to send funds to existing investment accounts
- Process requests to withdraw from, or close, investment accounts
- Liaise with financial advisers to request any information or documentation required to process investment requests receive
- Ensure that investment funds to be held within investment accounts meet our permitted investment criteria
- Carry out due diligence on the investment companies with whom our clients are invested
- Carry out ongoing monitoring of the assets held within our SIPPs to ensure they continue to meet our acceptability criteria
- Identify problem assets and propose policies and processes to deal with them
- Contribute towards the upkeep of the company's permitted investments criteria and other investment related policies
- Input data onto our administration systems
- Ensure that financial advisers are kept up to date with the progress of their clients' investment instruction
- Ensure that all investment processing is completed within company SLA and highlighting to management where this is not the case
- Ensure that valuation data is requested, obtained, input onto our administration system and categorised to ensure that our Capital Adequacy reporting obligations are fulfilled
- Work with investment providers and IT to obtain data to automate the updating of investment data in our administration system
- Process investment tax reclaims
- Respond to queries from clients and financial advisers about investments
- Assist with the maintenance of the Investments Team email mailbox
- Process incoming post
- Answer and deal with incoming telephone calls within company SLA. The expectation is that 80% of telephone calls relating to investments work will be answered by the Customer Relationship Team and 20% will be passed through to the Investments Team.
- Record all telephone calls on administration system
- Contribute towards the preparation of team management information
- Identify and refer any new business trends and patterns to management
- Support complaints investigation and resolution
- Suggest improvements to - and assist the Process Team and Business Analyst with - the Investments Team procedures and processes
- Assist with testing new system functionality as and when required
Profile
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above
- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Financial Services (or passed CF1 and working towards the Certificate in Financial Services)
- Chartered Insurance Institute Investment Client Servicing (FA6)
Desired
- Degree in a business or finance related subject
- Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Investment Operations (or equivalent)

- Demonstrable customer service experience
- Experience of working in a regulated financial services environment
- Experience of working in a data input role
- Experience of adhering to policies and processes in a work based environment
- Demonstrable experience of working to service level agreements and deadlines
- Administration in a Financial Services environment
- Experience of working with investments
