Management Accountant

Our client are currently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our small, professional finance team within the company's fast paced office in Welwyn Garden City. Amongst other duties, you will be responsible and accountable for monthly management accounts, ongoing business reporting & analysis and providing support for the wider finance team.

Our client work within the logistics distribution and supply chain industry and are looking to continue their growth by employing a management accountant to join their finance team.

Description

- Preparing monthly financial and management accounts

- Variance analysis

- Calculation of accruals, prepayments and deprecation

- Maintenance of Fixed Asset register

- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

- Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns to HMRC

- Calculation, monitoring and reporting of supplier rebates

- Analysis and reporting of company performance

- Producing ad-hoc management information to assist decision making

- Cash flow forecasting

- Half yearly CT61 returns

- Weekly/Monthly KPI reporting

- Foreign Currency purchasing and monitoring

- Forecasting

- Completion of year-end audit file and liaison with Auditors during audit

- Ad-hoc project work and reporting

- Reporting and analysis as required

- Support and cover other members of the Finance Team (including Financial Controller) as required
