Fund Accountant / Investment Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Investment Accountant to join an Alternative Investment Fund Manager focused exclusively on the Financial Services sector. The investment approach spans tactical positioning to strategic investments and we invest across the capital structure. Underpinning our investment approach is the use of bottom up, fundamental research.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work within a team, and most closely with the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities will include Investment Reporting & Control and Business Finance.

Investment reporting and control:

• Controls over position, portfolio and fund capture and valuation, investor statements, other reporting for all funds and mandates.
• Management of non-trading transactions. Internal and board regular and ad hoc reporting.
• Financial reporting, audit and related tasks and projects.
• Production of investor statements and bespoke reporting, performance and other information to external stakeholders.
• Administrative management of all Fund and investment entities: administrative, regulatory and other filings

Business finance

• Financial management of all entities in the management group.
• Financial planning and management information, corporate treasury/FX, audit and financial reporting.
• Oversight of outsourced services for book-keeping, corporate/partnership taxes, VAT.
• Monitoring of Portfolio Companies' finances.

Experience:

• Accountancy qualified graduate with some post-qualification work experience
• Experience of working in a related role in a fund manager, hedge fund, private equity firm or investing institution.
• Applicants with exposure to these types of businesses from an audit / consulting perspective will also be considered.
• Strong financial or management reporting and / or auditing or assurance skill set
