Accountant - Payroll

Job Details: * Global Finance Operations Payroll Accountant * Permanent * The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for the accounting of payroll related balance sheets and income statement, and will liaise with professional service providers and audit department in relation to the completion of audits Responsibilities: * Responsibility for accounting of payroll related balance sheet and income statement * Reporting to legal entity controllers regarding potential risks and opportunities * Recording all payroll related accruals (bonus, holiday, pensions etc.) * Balance sheet account analysis and preparation of reconciliations * Support payroll by review and approval of calculations, ensuring compliance with company policy, as well as social security and tax filing as per local requirement * Analysing P&L accounts to ascertain what other taxable benefits need to be incorporated into payroll calculations * Working with legal entity controllers to deliver analysis, statutory audit information requests and backup documentation to professional service providers * Preparation of analysis, audit sampling and information requests for CAD for E2E process * Ensuring SOX narratives reflect current process and controls * Managing banking process to ensure salaries and tax calculations paid on time * Preparation of ad-hoc reporting declarations and submission * Tracking KPIs to drive internal performance and ensure efficiency * Provision of support and advice in relation to payroll processes and accounting queries Requirements: * University degree * Part or fully qualified accountant * 5-7 years relevant experience in accounting/payroll * Strong understanding of internal controls * Strong understanding of payroll taxes and social security regulations * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Good standard of written and spoken English (another language is desirable) By applying for this role not only will your application be considered for this position but your details will be stored in our database and may be considered for similar future positions that may arise.
