Are you a Semi Senior Account looking to build a career with an exciting and expanding practice?
Due to continued expansion my client has a fantastic opportunity for a semi senior accountant to join a growing well-established accountancy firm based in King's Lynn, whose emphasis is on maintaining strong personal relationships with all their clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accounts and report direct the Managers and Partners of the practice assisting in maintaining a high standard of client relations and offering comprehensive accountancy advice.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of accounts and related taxation work for a wide variety of clients using Iris, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships, ready for partner / senior review
Clearance of queries with client prior to review
Process final accounts adjustments subsequent to review
Submission of accounts and tax returns to HMRC once approved by client
Contact clients requesting books and records, in order for work to commence
Liaison with outsourcing company regarding submission and return of jobs
Completion of periodic client bookkeeping and VAT returns
Qualifications and Skills:
Experienced in the preparation of financial accounts and management accounts independently to final stage, ready for manager or partner review.
Professional person with the ability to maintain and develop client and colleague relationships.
At least 3 years relevant practice experience.
Proficient use of the following packages an advantage IRIS, Sage, Xero and excel.
Up-to-date with accounting standards and the accounting provisions of the Companies Act and applicable taxation matters.
Ability to work using own initiative with little supervision, showing good organisational skills
Good problem solver with attention to detail.
