Accountant

Black Pearl Capital ("BPC") is an asset management firm registered in the Cayman Islands, with offices in Geneva and the Middle-East where its dedicated team of professionals provide its clients with specialized wealth and investment management services, as well as deal specific transaction advice.

BPC has a portfolio of UK real estate developments in the north of England and is setting up a development office under the brand of Black Pearl Homes ("BPH") with an office in Manchester. BPH is hiring a part-time Accountant for the Manchester office. The job is for 20 hours per week with flexible hours. The specific tasks of the job include but are not limited to:

• Monthly Accounting for Investment Assets
• Payment Authorization and Handling of Accounts Receivables and Payables
• Annual Reports for Group Operating Companies and Investment Assets
• Preparation of VAT Returns, and liaising with HMRC
• Monthly Financial Management Reporting
• Contracts and commercial agreements reviews and day-to-day coordination with stakeholders
• Liaising with Operational Team and Suppliers
• Accounts Software Maintenance and Setup
• Development Appraisal Software Maintenance and Setup (Argus)
• Corporate secretary activities (resolutions, registers, liaising with lawyers as well as accountants)
• Administrative and finance support (personal expenses, project support, etc.)
• Maintenance of Records of all of Above

The suitable candidate must be able to work well independently and be highly organised and methodical in planning monthly tasks to be achieved on specific deadlines within reasonable timeframes. The position can include interaction with government authorities and professional bodies. Experience working within Real Estate Development or High-Net-Worth Individuals with legal and compliance background is preferred (Private Banking / Law firm / Family Office). The candidate must present the ability to work discreetly in a confidential environment.
