Collections Team Leader Within this dynamic, results driven and international environment we are looking for a Team Leader to join our business based in our Park West office Supervising a small team of collectors you will have overall responsibility for the recovery of monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collection. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join us, in this hands-on international environment. Main responsibilities • Reporting into the Operations Team Manager based in the UK, you will be working as part of the UK & Ireland debt collection team, responsible for Recoveries (insured clients) & Collections (uninsured clients). You will have overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of debts, implementing the agreed processes and systems to achieve desired goals and results. • Effective management through people and through use of available data in order to maximise collected amounts and ensure service expectations are met. Key activities • Maintain optimum resource capacity, including flexible resource pool in order to efficiently manage workload. With the ability to recognise where there is a need to adjust capacity, focus or activities in order to meet the requirements of the business and optimise results through effective portfolio management • Manage performance within the team to develop desired competence level, providing coaching, support and guidance as appropriate. • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and excellence through the proactive introduction of new tools and processes and ways of working within the team. You will innovate and bring ideas, applying creative thinking in order to drive improvements and implement solutions. • Responsible for effective management of the LDC network, ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness • Develop and maintain excellent communications both verbal and written with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that communication is clear, transparent and timely. • Provide pro-active and appropriate updates on Case / Customer / Portfolio level, ensuring co-operation with key internal stakeholders (such as Claims team, Account Managers) Job requirements • Previous experience of people management in a supervisory or team lead capacity, with proven ability to coach, mentor and develop staff • Experience working within an Operational function where you demonstrate sound judgement and ability to assess cost effectiveness of your actions. In addition you should have a good understanding of Debt Collections and Legal services to apply your operation experience. • A strong customer focus (internal and external), with the ability to identify, assess and meet the requirements of the customer. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, using your experience to adapt your message to suit different audiences. • Strong IT skills in MS office packages, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
