About the opportunity:
As part of the growing Commercial team, the Commercial Analyst role will provide insightful financial analysis and reporting in preparation for and throughout commercial negotiations, in support of ongoing expansion and profitable operation of the business.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Leading the preparation of detailed qualitative and quantitative reports, including written recommendations, statistical analyses and evaluations of practice performance compared to market trends
Conducting financial analysis and modelling for greenfield sites and extensions, and preparation of business cases for these
Reporting and analysing business performance (management reporting)
Providing support to Commercial Managers and Head of Acquisitions in commercial negotiations and acquisition settlements
Providing support to M&A activities, including evaluating and producing business cases for potential acquisitions and major capital investments, analysing business performance in support of contractual negotiations, and preparing financial models
Legal and regulatory compliance and adherence to internal operating procedures as applicable
Your background:
You will have/be:
Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce or accounting
Professional memberships and/or postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA or MBA desirable but not essential
Experience in financial and/or commercial analysis roles, preferably in complex business environments
Excellent financial/quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to think strategically about the business and market opportunities
Strong financial acumen, including extensive experience in building complex financial models and analysing outputs
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, with an ability to work effectively across all levels in the organisation
Lateral thinking skills, including ability to see the big picture
Must be computer literate to advanced level in spreadsheets and intermediate/advanced level in word processing and presentation packages, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and key stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to role model the Bupa values at all times
While experience in the healthcare environment would be an advantage, relevant experience in a comparable complex business environment will also be considered.
