Financial Controller

A world leading broker is currently hiring for an experienced professional to join their team as a Legal Entity Controller for their London desk. The role has been newly created and is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to gain wider experience in a more analytical position.

Main Duties:

• Preparation of annual financial statements for a number of entities under various international standards.
• Prepare monthly analytical review on legal entity income statement and balance sheet;
• Manage monthly close process, including consolidation entries at Group level
• Preparation of monthly management reports
• Preparation of monthly VAT computations, monthly VAT return and annual VAT submissions to HMRC
• Preparation of monthly transfer pricing calculations and subsequent reporting
• Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations
• Review of daily FX Exposure Analysis
• Design and implement world class control environment
• Support legal entity initiatives within the firm and involvement in projects impacting the legal entities

• Involvement in developing and re-engineering existing processes through exposure to key firm projects; and- Escalation of issues to Management

Skills Required:

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Currently working a financial reporting role within Financial Skills
• Strong knowledge of IFRS Reporting Standards
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
