Job Description As a Financial Analyst, the successful candidate will be part of a team based in Belfast working closely with the Allstate Finance and Investments function in the USA. These areas support the Allstate Corporation in a wide range of activities from financial reporting, analysis and consulting to corporate and operational accounting. We currently have a role in the GAAP and Statutory reporting team, which is primarily responsible for external reporting on Investments for The Allstate Corporation and its subsidiaries as required by to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC - GAAP) and National Association of Insurance Commission (NAIC - Statutory).  GAAP reporting has quarterly (10-Q) and annual filings (10-K) for The Allstate Corporation, Allstate Life Insurance Company and Allstate Life New York (annual only).  GAAP reporting also works on audited financial statements for smaller companies and for the pension plans.  From a statutory reporting perspective, the team completes the quarterly and annual statements for all legal insurance entities of the Allstate Corporation. Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to): Wide scope of activities which range by function but not limited to: Financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting and planning. Preparation of financial statements and reconciliations. Meaningful analysis on the drivers of revenue and expense. Providing consulting on courses of action to ensure optimal outcomes. Working closely with management teams and key stakeholders in the organization. Essential Criteria A degree classification in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or similar discipline, OR A degree in a non-finance related discipline but supported with a post-graduate qualification within a finance or accountancy related discipline, OR At least 2 years' experience in a Finance/Accountancy role, AND Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA. Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment Desirable Criteria Having a logical and analytical approach. Good problem-solving skills with an attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate well, build relationships and work as part of a team. Familiar with Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data.
