Role: Management Accountant
Robert Half Financial Services are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a reputable and growing business based in Gloucestershire. As the management accountant you are responsible for ensuring the timely production of financial and non-financial information for a number of group companies.
Main responsible
- Ensure the bank is reconciled daily
- Ensure invoices are processed efficiently and good housekeeping of the ledgers
- Chase clients to ensure payments are received in a timely manner and to agreed terms
- Update cashflow forecasts accordingly to reflect daily bank balance and payments received
- Process authorised payments to suppliers and contractors
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts and all aspects of business reporting
- Manage the month end close process in accordance with group guidelines
- Ensure core accounting controls are maintained and improved
- Coordinate and review monthly payroll process
- The production of ad hoc reports
- Preparation and submission of statutory returns e.g. VAT Returns
- Timely reporting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances
- Provide cover for other members of the department during periods of leave/sickness

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Have excellent communication skills with an ability to be assertive yet maintain polite manner with customers who exceed credit terms
- Part qualified or working towards a suitable accountancy qualification
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work-streams
- Strong time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Previous experience in similar role is advantageous
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000
