Senior Accountant
£35,000 to £40,000

Are you an experienced Accountant looking for your next career challenge in a dynamic environment? Do you enjoy both Financial Accounting and Management Accounting?
Venatu Finance are working in partnership with our prestigious client to source them a Senior Accountant.
Overview:
Working closely with the Management reporting team as well as business partnering with other departments. Your responsibilities will also include the preparation of financial statements, preparation of debit notes, booking of monthly accruals and prepayments, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, assistance in the preparation of budgets and dealing with Ad Hoc queries and tasks, as required by the business.
The Role:
* Preparation of financial statements, month end reports (Profit & Loss & Balance Sheet)
* Preparation of supporting documents and analysis for year-end statutory reports and quarterly reporting
* Processing invoices / credit notes, raising payment runs and allocating to accounts
* Monitoring and coordinating Accounts Payable workflow system, including internal communications to ensure timely processing and user authorisation
* Control, maintain and arrange payment of employee expenses
* Review of costs and booking of monthly accruals and prepayments
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Assistance in the preparation of shared service budgets and the provision of information to other budget holders to assist with budget preparation
* Ensure appropriate controls, in line with Audit policies
* Dealing with Ad Hoc queries and tasks, as required by the business
The Skills:
* A qualified or part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA member or a qualified by experience (QBE) candidate
* Experience of SAP system
* Advanced working knowledge of Excel (Pivot, VLook-up’s) etc
* Experience in preparation of statutory accounts
* Experience in managing a team would also be desirable
The Person:
* Flexible, can do attitude, self-motivated, able to work on his/her own as well as within a team
* Attention to detail, with a questioning attitude
* Good communication skills, listens, consults others and communicates proactively
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure, manage concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines
* Track record in system and process improvement
The Rewards:
