My client, a growing company based in South Manchester, is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their vibrant accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join an innovative and successful team with plenty of opportunity to develop.

Duties
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Finance Manager in preparing and reviewing the UK accounts.
This includes working closely with the international shared service centre to monitor General Ledger and maintain the revenue schedule as well as maintaining billing systems linked to the main accounting system.
At month end you will be responsible for overseeing transactional invoices as well as accruals and prepayments. You will be expected to prepare the revenue reports, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow schedules for review.
The role also involves statutory reporting such as VAT returns and ensuring that all asset registers are updated.
Additionally, as required, ad hoc duties within the finance team.
Personal performance measures: timely month end reporting, transactional system up to date and invoices processed, asset registered maintained and statutory returns submitted.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate currently be studying a professional qualification or qualified by experience, Assistant Accountant, with a minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role.
You will be able to work to tight deadlines whilst also ensuring that you work is completed to the highest standard.
You will have to be able to adapt to change and have the willingness to get involved in other areas of the business when required.
