Finance Manager

Transparent is actively supporting one of our Essex/East London border clients in the recruitment of a Finance Manager to work closely alongside the MD as the business goes through a phase of growth. They are looking for a highly motivated team player with a natural ability to problem-solve whilst using their own initiative.

This role will form the lead finance role within the company, thereby giving the successful candidate a real opportunity to make a difference to the ongoing growth and success of this business. Due to the size and nature of the business, no 2 days will be the same, so if you like variety as well as getting involved in the commercial aspects outside of finance, this could be the role you have been seeking.

This position represents a real opportunity for further career development for those candidates wanting to move forward into the role of Finance Director in the future.

Finance duties will include:

- Driving the company’s financial planning

- Introducing annual budgets

- Monitoring cash flow

- Producing monthly P&L and balance sheet reports

- Bank reconciliations

- Calculation of WIP and stock figures

- Producing weekly job costing reports

- Processing company payroll (circa 30 staff)

- VAT & PAYE/NIC submissions

- Compile R&D claims

- Processing supplier payments

- Managed aged debtors

- Raising sales invoices

- Processing purchase invoices

- Identifying areas for improvement

Additional responsibilities may expose you to Operations/HR & Recruitment/Health & Safety, or any other commercial aspect of the business that you wish to become involved in. Working alongside a forward-thinking and energetic MD, this is an exciting and rare opportunity.

The details:

Circa £40K as a base salary

25 days annual leave + BH

Parking on site

Auto enrolment pension scheme

Working hours: 7.00-5.00 Monday to Thursday, 7.00-4.00 on Fridays. A good way to avoid the early rush hour traffic!
