Kerry Logistics are currently recruiting for an experienced German
speaking Credit Controller to work in a busy department based in our head
office in Trafford park, Manchester.
Title: Credit Controller
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9:00am – 5:15pm
Location: Trafford park, Manchester
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE(S) OF THE ROLE:
- To ensure that all outstanding debts are pursued and collected in
accordance with procedures and are in line with performance and quality
standards set out for the Credit Control Team to maximise cash flow and
minimise bad/doubtful debts. The role also encompasses the obtaining of
credit information reports from an online system, maintaining our systems
with the correct information and highlighting risks that can then be
managed in accordance with the current authority matrix

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:
Effectively manage individual account portfolio, chasing due and overdue
debt by telephone, e-mail, letter within agreed timescales to ensure cash
collection and targets are met
• Accurate recording of all communication with debtors on the collections
management system
• Identify and escalate potentially high risk account
• Liaising with the customer and operations effectively manage the
dispute sales invoice resolution
process to minimise aged debt and improve the customer experience
• General housekeeping on a daily basis: to include the allocation,
monitoring and maintenance of unallocated cash, credit notes, journals
and contra transfers
• Credit vet and process new credit account applications using current
matrix methodology using information obtained from an external source
• Monitoring and maintaining current credit limits for existing customers
in line with current mandates
• Managing accounts and orders on hold due to credit issues
• Maintain accurate and up to date customer details and record all
details on the system
• Ensure all transactions and actions undertaken are to agreed
compliance, legal and audit requirements
• Completing Month End tasks to accounting timetable
• Provide cover for preparation of daily bank receipts upload and
allocations
Key Skills Required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Credit Control
• Proven track record working effectively and as part of a Credit Control
team, working to and achieving
• results in line with targets and deadlines
• Demonstrates a high level if numeracy and literacy skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Excel & Word
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willing to go the “extra mile”, views customer excellence as a personal
objective
• IT Literate
