Head of Finance North London Retailer

We are for a Head of Finance to join an established but fast growing retailer in North London.

Client Details

Our client is a retailer and wholesaler of a recognisable brand with a strong UK presence aiming to grow internationally in the coming years, they have just relocated to modern offices in Kings Cross.

Description

As the Head of Finance you will be reporting directly into to COO and be responsible for all aspects of accounting from payroll through to reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to work in an environment with the control and autonomy to change and develop a complete finance function.

Responsibilities:

Managing the day to day operational finance requirements of the firm
Book-keeping, preparation of financial statements and tax computations for entities
Producing quarterly VAT returns
Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and annual financial statements under IFRS
Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable
Managing payroll
Maintaining financial policies and procedures for the firm
Liaising with external tax advisers to ensure tax compliance for the firm and it's pooled funds

Profile

A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or eq)
Fastidious attention to detail
5+ years relevant financial experience
Excellent analytical skills
Must be self-motivated to learn, work hard and adapt in a fast-paced startup culture
