An exciting opportunity has arisen in central Bedford for an experienced Payroll Manager looking to join a leading UK company in the Accountancy sector. The role is a 9 month fixed contract with the potential for progression to a permanent role.

Description

The key responsibilities include:

• Processing payment of nearly 5,000 employees across a number of payrolls
• Input of payment information onto the payroll system
• Systems development and a commitment to innovation
• Production of HMRC returns and documents in a timely manner
• Company pension scheme administration
• Reconciliation of salaries to tax deductions from employees
• Processing and updating details of new employees and employees leaving the company
• Supervision of junior payroll processing staff, including mentoring and development
• Some prior supervisory experience in a Payroll Specialist role is preferred but not essential

Profile

The successful candidate will be a Payroll specialist with at least 5 years experience, confident inputting data onto payroll systems and ideally some high volume payroll processing exposure. Successful candidates will be committed to professional growth and development, as well as assisting in the mentoring and development of junior payroll processing staff.
