Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist-Newry Co.Down Who are we working with? Abacus Professional Recruitment are currently working alongside a highly successful Global Company, Due to significant growth in recent years and expected continued growth the company are seeking to employ a Credit Controller/Accounts Payable Specialist. Salary: £20,000,-£25,000 depending on experience Working Hours: Monday to Friday 37 hours Duties and Responsibilities: Bank/remittance data received and input. Bank Account Reconciliations Monthly Analysis of Expenses Production of month end financial reports Maintain Ledger, ensuring all invoices are approved and paid in a timely matter Review cash receipt, overdue invoices, refunds, etc. Apply short-pay write-offs and credit notes. Respond to and resolve internal/external customer enquiries. Review AP accounts for erroneous transactions. Credit card payment information received and input. Ensure accurate and timely cash application. Apply and record "unapplied cash". Any other ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by management. Qualifications & Training GCSE A*-C (must include Maths and English) Experience Experience of working in a fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions is essential. Experience within an Accounts Payable/Credit department, including proven experience with payment resolution and cash application. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Ability to deal with high volume invoicing Desirable Advanced Excel experience. Experience of SAGE accounting software would be advantageous.
