This Temp Accounts Assistant - Sales Ledger position is predominantly managing the sales ledger and credit control function of this SME Fashion business based in Luton. The company have a permanent position but due to business requirements are in need of someone straight away

Description

Temp Accounts Assistant - Sales Ledger will be assist in month end but manage the credit control and sales ledger function with he following responsibilities

  • Sole responsibility over credit and sales ledger including reporting and month end
  • Assist in month end close processes
  • Billing and crediting
  • Bank postings and allocations, keeping the ledgers tidy and up to date
  • Weekly Bank reconciliation
  • Weekly update on outstanding debtors and review possible write off's to Financial Controller
  • Work closely with Finance & Projects teams to ensure billing of Services is in line with Supplier billing
  • Manage complex customer queries.
  • Process new customer credit account forms, ensure credit applications are completed correctly, run credit check report, approve or escalate to line manager where appropriate.
  • Maintain accuracy on Sage Sales orders to ensure SOI reporting is correct
  • Process Petty Cash at the end of each month

    Temp Accounts Assistant - Sales Ledger requirements desired characteristics and experience

    • Some finance/accounting or credit control experience
    • Someone keen to use their personality to work as part of a team and build relationships with customers
    • Desire to do a good job and eagerness to be trained
    • Numerate & well organised
    • Ability to work on own initiative & take ownership of the role
    • Attention to detail
    • Pro-active and adaptable
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Sage and excel experience are desirable but not essential as the personality is more important
