Description

• Oversee the production of the month end accounts through to completion

• Review and ownership of the relevant nominal reconciliations

• Daily review of financial transactions

• Working closely with the Controller on the production of monthly forecasts

• Review accounts against budget / forecast

• Purchasing control and reporting versus budget/forecast

• Reviewing the Company's practices and working with operational departments to understand and assess areas of risk

• Driving control and process improvement and audit of internal procedures

• Internal Audit of Controls and compliance ownership

• Day to day management of both internal & external audits

• Assist in and drive forward ad hoc projects

• Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Controller

Profile

The successful Assistant Financial Controller:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing industry is essential
• Ambitious individual who is looking to drive the business forward
• Experience of working in a fast paced environment
• Strong controls experience
• Past experience of managing a team
