This Assistant Accountant - 12 month contract position is with a leading high growth manufacturing and production business based in Bedford, with parking on site and good public transport links they are looking for immediately avail;able individuals to start straight away and slot with the required finance and excel capabilities

Description

Assistant Accountant - 12 month contract duties and responsibilities;

• Process and post cash receipts including credit cards, cheques and BACS.
  
• Generate and distribute customer statements
  
• Prepare and process credit notes.
  
• Take part in month end procedures such as aged debt analysis.
  
• Cash reconciliations.
  
• Cash forecasting.
• Review new customer applications and production of credit safe reports.
• Create and maintain vendor master files on the system.
• General ad hoc duties include filing, scanning, collecting post.
• Create SAP BACS supplier payment files
• Enter suppler invoices onto SAP
• Review supplier statements
• Bill of material cost roll ups
• Bank reconciliations (GBP/Euro/USD)
• Office for National Statistics reporting
• Weekly reporting
• Provide variance analysis

Profile

Assistant Accountant - 12 month contract experience, personal attributes and exposure required;

• Competent in MS Excel - intermediate (exporting data, spreadsheets and reports), Word and Outlook
  
• Knowledge/experience of SAP and Hyperion Enterprise desirable but non essential with similar systems experience and confidence ideal
• Able to work as part of a team
• Minimum of 2.1 degree in Accountancy, Maths or Science.
  
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (e.g. 5 grade A - C including Maths and English)
