Management Accountant

This role will support the Financial Director in the delivery of all financial data and the production of statutory and management reporting for all Group entities. It boasts the opportunity to heighten your management accounting skill-set as well as managing a team of 5.

Client Details

The client is a long standing Travel providing service that has a turnover of over £25,000 per year. It has been up and running for over a decade and has experienced exponential growth of the years, hence the evolving of this role.

Description

The key responsibilities include:

• Financial accounting

• Preparation of monthly management information for FD review

• Monthly and ad hoc reporting analysis

• Responsible for the accuracy of the P&L's together with capacity and performance KPI's

• Liaising with operational management to review performance against budget

• Regulatory Returns for supervising authorities for all group companies

• Assistance with the statutory audit and accounts for all group companies

• Timely reporting to the FD

• Regular evaluation of charge out rates

• Assist with VAT, FX revaluation and reconciliations

• High level of self-review

• Motivate and empower junior members of staff by building their capabilities.

• Process and oversee bank reconciliations

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for FD review

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Been/is studying towards either CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Ideally experience in a managerial role
• Travel experience would be preferable but not essential
• An articulate nature, confidence and a positive mental attitude
• The yearning to step up in their career and take on a vast amount of responsibility

Job Offer

The following is offer to the candidate:

• A salary between £38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
• Full study support (incl the day before and the day of the exam off)
