Senior Associate - Audit

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Delivering a quality audit and advice to clients in advance of deadlines and with limited supervision; Contributing to and assisting in the delivery of Audit department goals including the effective and efficient planning and execution of assignments; Leading, supervising and mentoring junior staff members as appropriate to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignments within agreed timeframes; Reporting on audit findings, in particular, to raise any issues arising during the audit which may impact on risk to the Audit Manager/ Partner; Dealing with escalated client issues from junior members of the audit team in a timely manner; Executing client assignments utilising a range of audit and accounting applications; Liaising with other departments, including taxation, company secretarial and consultancy in the delivery of audit and advisory services; Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional value added services to the client. The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications: Qualified/ part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant; Prior practice experience within an Audit team; Previous financial services audit experience is desirable; Strong technical knowledge; Experience in supervising junior staff members on audit assignments; Client focused with strong commercial expertise; Excellent technical and interpersonal skills; Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
