JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION : Credit Controller (Part Time 16 hours) EMPLOYER : Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry RESPONSIBLE TO : Finance & Assurance Manager LOCATION: 4 -5 Donegall Square South, Belfast SALARY : £10,000 to £20,000 ROLE OF CREDIT CONTROLLER The role of the Credit Controller is to work as an integral part of the NI Chamber team to collect membership, events and other income receipts. KEY TASKS Ensure effective credit control is maintained by regular review of debtor balances and pursuit of debt Month End and Year End deadlines reporting debtor day targets for Membership, Events, Programmes and Other Debt types Issuing Membership Renewal Invoices Ensure timely event invoicing and payments prior to events. Collect Payments by Credit and Debt Card Issue Regular Statements of Accounts and Debt Letters Update and reconcile Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Sage Accounts Systems with Activity Support the Finance team with administration Perform duties to the standards laid down in specific quality standards such as ISO 9001 procedure as per NI Chamber's procedure manual Assist in the delivery of the overall NI Chamber strategy Undertake any other duties required, as directed by the Chief Executive of NI Chamber Professional Criteria Essential At least three years' recent relevant experience of Credit Control in a busy office environment At least 2 years' experience using accountancy software for sales ledger transactions and credit control reporting 5 GCSE including English Language and Mathematics Desirable Experience of using Sage 50 Accounts Experience of Microsoft Dynamics or similar customer relationship management (CRM) software Personal Criteria Essential Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to work on own initiative Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and desire to complete tasks to a high standard BACKGROUND TO NORTHERN IRELAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce was established in 1783 and is now an award winning, quality assured, customer focused membership organisation.
