Derivatives Operations Officer

Description:

To assist Section Head:
• To ensure all day-to-day MY & SG Hubbing Derivative transactions and operations are executed in accordance with the policy and regulatory requirement.
• To ensure zero error in processing.
• To assist in carrying out system implementation project for derivatives.
• To participate in any process improvement initiatives.

BAU (MY & SG Derivatives Processing)
• Handle daily processing of all derivatives transactions via various processes i.e. verification, settlement, accounting and investigation of ad hoc issues and enquiries.
• Prepare daily and monthly report for internal and regulatory requirement.
• Follow-up and monitor payment schedules to ensure no fail payment.
• Liaise with dealers on daily operation issues.
• Perform EOD trade reconciliation to ensure all trades are captured in the system on the same day and escalate to dealer in accordance to escalation procedures.

QUALITY & RISK
• Ensure strict compliance in all external and internal dealings with customers.
• Adherence to internal operations policies and regulatory compliance.

PRODUCTS/SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT
• Support business units in new products to be launched from operational perspective.
• Draw up new process to support the new product/system enhancement.
• Build capacity to support volume growth from new products.

PEOPLE
• Support teamwork and cross-learning within the department.
• Support the overall department KPIs.

OTHERS
• Handle any ad hoc requirement from management.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, system implementation and process improvement.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
• Possess at least 1 year relevant experience. Preferably knowledge dealing with Treasury products
• Self-motivated and able to work as a team
• Possess positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to work fast, independently and under pressure
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excels applications will be added advantage
