Description

• Chasing payment by telephone, email, fax and letter to reduce debtor days
• Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
• Producing Advance Payment Requests for customers who do not warrant credit terms or where deposits are required for Bespoke orders
• Listing payments received into our Bank accounts, cheques and by Credit and Debit Cards
• Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances, repaying earlier debt if required to allow smooth running of the accounts
• Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
• Checking invoices produced daily to ensure correct information provided to comply with VAT, Incoterms and trading requirements
• Checking orders received into Accounting Queue to decide upon and take any recovery action required before the goods are dispatched.
• Ensuring that all major accounts work to agreed order to cash cycle
• Daily reporting to Senior Finance colleagues throughout the organisation
• Liaising with Sales, Marketing and Warehouse teams to resolve outstanding queries
• Managing New Customer Account forms to ensure sufficient correct information received
• Writing to and liaising with Third Parties for Bank and Trade References
• Setting Credit Limits on new accounts
• Managing Third Party Agents on unpaid accounts

Profile

• Previous in depth experience of working in a Finance Department and previous Credit Control experience

• Good working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft applications including Office, Outlook and Excel

• Working knowledge of foreign invoicing requirements

• Ideally you will have SAP experience
