A prestigious Accountancy practice with an envious portfolio are looking to recruit for a part qualified Accountant to join their well established team. Based locally, they have experienced strong growth over the last 10 years of trading and are looking for a driven, professional team member to continue this trend.

Do you have recent experience of working within a practice based environment?

The successful candidate will, in addition to the practice based experience have also passed some of the AAT/ACCA/ACA exams and be looking to continue their studies.

We are seeking confident communicators who have experience liaising with clients and visiting client premises to conduct audits.

Our client can offer a genuine opportunity for long term progression into a Partners role within the practice for the right person.

Duties:
Supporting a Partner and Manager, you will be responsible for:
Visiting client premises to carry out audits
Performing monthly accounting activities, such as bank and balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow statements and monthly management accounts
Assist with preparation of annual accounts
Preparation of monthly commission statements
Assist with budget preparation and analysis

The Person:
Excellent communication skills are key as you will be liaising with customers daily both over the telephone and at their premises
Part qualified - AAT/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a similar role gained in Practise
Knowledge of Sage accounting would be advantageous along with Xero, Quickbooks and CCH
A degree of tax experience would be advantageous but this is trainable

The Benefits:
Up to £30,000 per annum - salary offered reflecting the progress made with studies
20 days plus bank holidays
9-5 basic hours, 1 hour lunch break
Pension after probation is successfully passed
Studies - negotiable and to be discussed at interview as will be bespoke to applicant and their career aspirations
