Assistant Financial Accountant At Basildon Hospital

Hours: 15 hours per week

Shift Pattern: flexible between Mon -Friday

Band 4: Agenda for change.

Location: Basildon Hospital, Nethermayne, Basildon, Essex, SS165NL

Summary of Duties

This post holder will be required to carry out various tasks including credit control.

It is expected that this post holder be able to work without the need for direct supervision and that this post holder should be pro-active when dealing with work problems and procedures.

Duties:

  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner.

  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescale.

  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.

  • Liaise with internal departments when dealing with invoicing queries.

  • Undertake account reconciliations as required.

  • Record on the Accounts Receivable system the daily income in accordance with departmental procedures.

  • Responsible for adherence to the Accounts Receivable input timetable to ensure that accounting deadlines are met.

  • Input of new vendor data on to the accounts receivable system.

  • Deal/assist promptly with written, email, fax or telephone account queries.

  • Undertaking Salary Sacrifice queries and invoicing.

  • Undertake any/all other duties as may be assigned from time to time by senior staff.

  • Ensure compliance with all Trust policies and those procedures relevant to the area of work.

  • Where any processing of information takes place (paper records or electronically) ensure that the data is of good quality, accurate and relevant for purpose.
