Temporary Assistant Management Accountant

The ideal candidate will have a desire to succeed and be a part qualified accountant who is looking to become fully qualified, ACCA

As assistant management accountant you will work closely with your team to ensure accurate recording of reporting transactions within organisations Financial systems. Working alongside the management accountants to ensure accuracy across accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and VAT. You will be tasked with ensuring transactions are completed in an accurate and timely fashion.

The main responsibilities of this role:

-Ensure key financial processes are carried out in line with company policies and procedures

-Follow the timetable created by the Group Financial controller to perform, financial close processes within the set time frames

-Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely manor

-Communicate with budget holders regularly to establish the cause of any forecast variances

-Assist in the production of budgets and revised forecasts for relevant cost centres

-Manage queries from key budget holders

-Post and maintain fixed asset registers ensuring they reconcile to the general ledger

-Make sure trial balances are reconciled for international entities every month

-Conduct sample checks from transactions to ensure they follow policy

-When required, provide support to the finance business partner team

Personal Skills and Experience required:

-Part Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA)

-Ambitious and working towards a qualification

-Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups)

-Great attention to detail

-Great communication skills

-Experience in high volume cost centres

-Experience of Oracle and Qucikbooks
