Casual Pool - Allied Health Assistant

• Indicative Total Remuneration: $26.74 - $28.83 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual - OPS2

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible to the Community Health Team Leader for assisting in the provision of a range of Allied Health Therapy services to older persons. These services will be based on goal setting and restorative care principles, and will be delivered to clients in the Yorke and Lower North region, in client homes, community or hospital settings. Engaging in team work with other service providers, both within the Health Service and with others in the region, you will implement individual clients' therapy plans developed by Allied Health Clinicians (including but not limited to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Social Work and Podiatry). You will also provide information and education to clients, carers, families and other agencies to improve their capacity to support the needs of the individual clients, taking into account social and cultural diversities. With demonstrated experience in working with older people and their families, you will have a sound understanding of restorative care. This will be evident in your ability to work under direction to develop programs that enhance the personal skills of clients, carers and families. Self-motivated and demonstrating a high level of initiative, you will be capable of working flexibly and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
