PAYROLL ADVISOR – BIRMINGHAM– COMPETITIVE BASIC & PACKAGE
We are recruiting for a Payroll Advisor for our client who are a leading FTSE 250 PLC.
This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team in Wythall, Birmingham. A Payroll Advisor for our client provides an efficient and effective payroll service and first-line support to a large number of UK businesses within the Group, covering approx. 5,500 employees.

The key responsibilities will include:
- As a Payroll Advisor, your role will be to support the provision of a professional and efficient Payroll service to the company
- Keep all Managers up to date with payroll processes to ensure that data sent to payroll is accurate and timely
- Recognise and respect the need for and relevance of policies and procedures
- Responsibilities involve supporting/advising Managers and all employees
- Providing financial and employee information to Managers on a monthly basis
- Responsible for the administration of Payroll and ensuring compliance with legislation.
- The post holder will be aware of how the HR Department functions. Knows how to use networks to achieve goals.
- Support the Payroll Manager in delivering an efficient Payroll service to all Managers and employees within the company.
- Ensure administrative processes are undertaken effectively and accurately.
- Assistant in the efficient processing of the monthly Payroll.
- Provide support in the absence of the Payroll Manager.
- Other duties as per job description
- Working from the Wythnall, Birmingham office.
The Person;
- The successful candidate will ideally have similar experience within Payroll
- Experience of a computerised payroll environment would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
- Experience of CorePay would be an advantage as would a CIPP qualification.
- You will need good MS Office knowledge and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- A team player
- Excellent communication skills
- A high level of accuracy within a fast-paced and pressurised environment with a positive can-do attitude.
