Job Title: Practice Accountant

Location: Banbury

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 pa DOE

My client is a prestigious and established Accountancy practice with a number of offices based in the local area. They have built an excellent reputation over a number of years and they are now looking for a Practice Accountant to join their active and high achieving team.

The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the efficient and professional management of client portfolios, many of which could belong to large or small limited companies as well as sole traders.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with and support the Tax Director, reviewing relevant work, advising clients & undertaking all duties as required.
• Liaising with clients (individuals and businesses) and providing financial information and advice
• Producing year-end accounts
• Completing self-assessments and corporate tax returns
• Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small businesses (accountancy)
• Supporting the Tax Directors' clients
• Managing and supporting junior colleagues

Key Skills and Experience:

• ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent
• Demonstrable knowledge of current tax legislation
• Legislative compliance - ability to interpret relevant legislation to clients
• Previous experience of working with clients in a busy accountancy practice
