APRA is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Macro Strategic Intelligence team within our newly formed Risk and Data Analytics Division. As part of the team you will gain a unique perspective across the finance industry as you engage in key macroeconomic activities and apply your skill and experience to APRA's core supervision functions.

The Macro Senior Analyst will play a key role in delivering APRA's stress testing program across the Banking and Insurance sectors. In this role you will work alongside key Risk specialists in areas such as Credit, Market, Liquidity and Operational Risk as well as working in conjunction with other regulators in Australia and New Zealand.

You will also be engaged in analysing and monitoring risks in the global Macroeconomic environment with a focus on emerging risk identification, developing and maintaining early warning indicators and analysing economic trends.

This role offers the opportunity to take the lead in managing important projects with a reach across the Australian financial system.

The successful candidate will have experience in stress testing or financial modelling and a strong background in analytical areas such as finance, economics, actuarial studies or mathematics. You will have excellent problem solving ability along with strong written and verbal communication. Excellent organisational skills along with strong project and priority management are essential and a history of working in high performing teams will be highly regarded.
