Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance you will be responsible for:

  • Helping to devise and deliver a strategic plan to build a center of excellence for all compliance matters
  • Leading, coaching and developing a large compliance team across the region to roll out and implement new initiatives to ensure best practices and procedures are adhered to
  • Communicating new policies, assessing and measuring effectiveness and success
  • Upgrade awareness and importance of compliance through training and communication
  • Keep abreast of new regulations on AML, sanctions, anti-bribery, FCPA, ERM and data privacy, and help adopt within the business as they continue to grow
  • Work closely with the senior management team as the firm expands, understanding economic and technological advances and impacts on the business on compliance matters


Suitable candidates should ideally possess the following:

  • Qualified lawyer or professional Accountant with an ACA or CPA certification
  • 8-12 years of diverse compliance experience, covering a full spectrum of risk and compliance matters
  • Experience in working in a big multinational and complex environment
  • Proven leadership and management skills, able to coach and upskill a large team
  • Strong training and development experience, able to cascade new policies and procedures effectively throughout an organisation
  • Strong eye for detail and be highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Bring fresh ideas and innovation for strengthening the compliance framework to be the best in industry
  • Gravitas and confidence to work with the senior management team and heads of department in an advisory capacity for all compliance matters
  • Have a natural passion for compliance and enjoy keeping abreast of latest regulatory updates and developments
  • Good advisory skills and an ability to apply judgement to all commercial situations as necessary
  • Strong communication skills, fluency in both English and Chinese is a distinct advantage
