Assistant Accountant - Belfast - Exclusive VANRATH are pleased to be exclusively recruiting an Assistant Accountant for one of NI's hospitality businesses based in Belfast. Working within the Accountancy department, the post holder will be responsible for working alongside the Finance Director and providing senior management with the information required to drive the business strategy forward. The ability to provide accurate and timely reports is essential, as is enthusiasm for process improvement and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Responsibilities: Undertaking daily sales auditing, cash reconciliations and discrepancies investigations Preparing weekly forecasting report Ensure all accounting deadlines are met and that all reports are complete and accurate. Assist with the production of the annual budget with the General Manager and other HoDs. Posting all supplier invoices, monthly journals and reconciliation of debtors, creditors and bank accounts. Ensure all monthly management accounts are prepared in an accurate and timely manner. Monitoring cashflow indicators (debtors, creditors and cash at bank). Assist in the processing of payroll and the ongoing monitoring of payroll cost centres. Oversee financial policies and ensuring that the group financial policies are being adhered. To assist the auditors in the preparation of the annual audits. Ensure the payment of all creditors on a timely basis and to have a professional and progressive relationship with the suppliers. To be aware if payment is not being made so as not to damage any purchasing relationships. To be competent using all company computer systems; Visual 1(PMS), Micro pay Payroll, Sage Line 50. The Ideal Person: Fully Qualified IATI, ATT, or Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA 2 years experience of working in a busy Accounts office environment Computer Literate - Sage Line 50 & excel experience Ability to manage own work plan and meet pre agreed deadlines Desirable Criteria: Experience of working in the Hospitality Sector Stock Control Procedural Experience Experience of Purchase Contract Negotiations & adherence procedures Benefits Market Leading starting salary + impressive benefits package.
