Trainee Accountant (study support)

Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper Client: VANRATH currently has a great opportunity for an Trainee Accountant to join a national organisation based in Antrim. This is ideal for an experienced Accounts Assistant who is looking for a training contract role within a busy finance team in industry. This is a new role with a small finance team. The main purpose of the role is the management of the day to day activities of the finance team, the design and application of appropriate financial controls and procedures and preparing and developing monthly management accounts and financial analysis. Responsibilities: Preparation of management accounts Month-end reporting Variance analysis Cash flow management Accounts analysis Preparation of annual financial statements and file for annual audit. Continuous improvement initiatives across processes and procedures. Budgeting and forecasting. Overseeing monthly payroll and preparation of small batch of weekly payroll. Weekly management reporting and monitoring against KPI's Providing suitable cover for staff on leave. Essential Criteria: You must have strong accounting background (1-2 years) with demonstrable experience in preparing management accounts (to TB level) ideally with knowledge of payroll although not essential. You will ideally be a part qualified or a about to commence your accountancy studies with advanced excel skills .
