Job Title: Payroller
Location: Leicester
Salary: £18k
The Role
The successful Payroll Administrator / Payroller will play a critical role within the Payroll Department, ensuring that all 1400 weekly employees received the appropriate pay on time. Key responsibilities will include;
*
Ability to create and maintain weekly payroll including BAC’S submissions, tax year ends, P60, P45, P46, deliver RTI compliance and liaising with HMRC
*
Running and processing payroll, BAC’s and Real Time Information (RTI) once a month
*
Liaising with staff, Personnel and management on pay related queries
*
Updating and maintaining; new starters, leavers, contract changes, reviews, sick records, pension administration, clock sheets and holidays on the T&A system
The Candidate
To be successful in the role, you will have the following required skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications;
*
Similar weekly payroll experience gained from a fast-paced environment that involved working under pressure and tight timescales
*
Understanding of payroll legislation i.e. TAX, SSP, SMP
*
Experienced in creating reports from payroll data for analysis
*
Highly numerate with excellent mental arithmetic skills
*
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel (able to create spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables) Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Experience of using Open People would be advantageous
*
Excellent interpersonal skills – being able to communicate effectively at all levels
*
Superb attention to detail and accurate data entry skills with an organised and methodical approach
Client Overview:
This is a 6-month secondment / fixed term contract with immediate start which will be reviewed should the role need to go past that time.
Working 40 hours a week Monday – Friday.
