Fees Manager (Finance) Ireland, Munster, Limerick Accounting/Finance/Tax/Audit 67687 Requisition # Role This is a permanent role for a Manager within an established International Finance Team. The successful individual will be based in Limerick and will report to the Head of International Fees, whom is based in London. The existing manager is transferring to a new role internally. The successful individual will have overall responsibility for a combined team of 17 partners across Limerick, Guernsey and India. The team is responsible for the timely capture, recognition, billing and collection of revenue for multiple legal entities and products across Europe and the Middle East. Alongside supporting the on-boarding and project management of new business and products across the broader Limerick team. A significant part of the role will be the continued on-boarding and stabilisation of a key business area recently acquired at the end of 2017. With a specific emphasis in ensuring robust processes, controls and SLAs are agreed, documented and adhered to. This role represents the senior lead and subject expert in the relevant regions and is a high profile, important role that will provide increased oversight to the fee operations in these jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a key role in effecting change, developing and improving current processes, procedures and the control framework so that we are operating to a consistent, efficient and highly robust operating model. This will require interaction with Business, Operations and Finance teams across the region to understand the business and ensure that the legal entity books and records accurately reflect the business undertaken. Principal Responsibilities Leadership and Management Independently manage and develop a high performing, efficient and robust team across all functions; Work with the Head of International Fees to create and apply strategic and tactical action plans to enhance and stabilise the teams and dynamically manage growth through new business and products; Prioritise team workload and creatively resource the team to meet all deliverables; Project manage and lead the on-boarding of new business, products and initiatives across broader fee teams; Positively lead and effectively manage communication through unexpected challenges; Set clear and measureable goals and objectives for the team and individuals, ensuring performance assessments are completed in line with corporate requirements; Create and enable career development plans for direct reports and facilitate staff development; Provide candid and timely feedback and coaching to individuals; Operational Oversight of all teams to ensure accurate, complete and timely issue of invoices, collection of monies, query resolution and recording of revenue when due; Direct management, review and approval of invoices, payment, accruals, month end reporting and reconciliations, as required; Deep dive review of the legal agreements, fee processes and controls for newly acquired business. Identify and lead improvement efforts and SLA creation and monitoring; Ownership of revenue run rates and analysis, reconciliation, account ownership, deferrals and corporate close; Ownership of team issue & action logs and responsibility for driving to completion / resolution; Oversight new / terminated business and timely capturing of revenue impact; Concise and effective communication / escalation of issues, queries, revenue adjustments and other analysis to senior management across Fees, Financial Control and the Business; Responsibility for creation, collation, distribution and Fee Team performance on SLA and KPI; Establish and maintain business confidence and relationships with EMEA Senior Management; Ownership of fee governance for assigned regions and products. Develop a robust and efficient control framework that reflects best practice and conforms to compliance, Sox and global fee requirements; Liaise with internal governance team on all audits and queries from both internal and external auditors and regulators. Ensure remediation of any audit points by agreed dates; Develop an in-depth knowledge of all fee systems, controls and processes alongside our dependency on the business and their fee billing processes and source systems; Demonstrate the ability and the desire to share knowledge and coach others; Complete project and adhoc work as required; Skills / Experience Required Competencies Very strong management and influencing skills with a proven management track record Very strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills Very strong attention to detail with emphasis on adhering to strict controls Strong background in control and oversight of processes Ability to work effectively with remote teams and internal clients Ability to work in a team environment effectively to ensure critical deadlines are met Ability to partner effectively with peers, line managers, business and overseas partners Initiative to highlight and investigate issues, provide and implement timely solutions Self-starter with an ability to self-motivate Enthusiastic and positive personality Strong planning and organisational skills Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to react and respond on a timely basis Ability to adapt and react positively in a changing and dynamic work environment Flexible approach towards changing work methods, deadlines and variable workloads Required Skills Advanced level of IT skills notably MS office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio); Qualified Accountant (preferable ACA / ACCA) with at least 5 years PQE in a finance related role with staff responsibilities.
