Property Claims Adjuster

Our client, a Lloyd's Syndicate, have a new opportunity for a Property Claims Adjuster. The role will involve handling International Commercial Property claims. The ideal candidate will have a background in claims handling within the Lloyd's market and be part or fully ACII qualified.

Duties and Responsibilities

Adjusting Property and related claims within authority limits from initial notification to final settlement
Adjusting claims on the syndicate's binding authority account
Updating and maintaining the ECF system
Liaising with underwriters to promote an active risk management process
Liaising with coverholders and other third parties
Maintaining accurate and up to date reserves within the syndicate claims system, as well as claims and underwriting files
Reviewing new claims advices, checking daily claim movements, carrying out loss coding and error checking, preparing large loss/movement reports, circulation of claims movement reports, resolving account and broker queries and updating claims files and the international claims diary system
Working with the Reinsurance Manager to ensure that all relevant claims are reported to the appropriate reinsurance contracts
Advising all claims within authority with facultative reinsurance and reinsurers including notification of reserves, reports and issuing collection documents
Supporting the claims function for other lines of current and discontinued business as necessary
Adhering to Lloyd's claims principles and minimum standards
