Interim Senior Tax Manager

Ruby Group are recruiting for a temporary (or temp to perm) Senior Tax Manager based in The City of London for a recognised Private Equity backed global technology firm.

They will soon move to state of the art offices overlooking the Thames with a gym in the basement and a large outdoor terrace. When it becomes a permanent role they offer a 15% bonus, matched pension contributions and circa 25 days holiday that will increase with your years of service.

As the Senior Tax Manager, you will take ownership of all group tax and compliance deliverables across the UK and international jurisdictions either through review and oversight of local filings and teams or external advisors. In the case of the UK, by having direct responsibility for local filings and dealings with authorities.

Your other duties will include:

• Undertaking all UK tax return preparations and submissions
• Managing all group tax compliance outside the UK
• Process improvement and automation
• Managing relationships with tax authorities
• Taking responsibility for all group tax accounting duties
• Tax Advisory

The ideal Senior Tax Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:

• Qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor (ACA / CTA)
• A solid grounding in VAT principles and processes in Europe to include return preparation is essential
• Experience of tax in a non-UK jurisdiction(s) an advantage
• Experience of maintaining and updating transfer pricing documentation an advantage
• Understanding of accounting and legal implications of tax work is desirable
• Previous experience and familiarity with successful implementation of tax and compliance automation a positive plus
