Robert Half are exclusively recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join a local business near the New Forest, Hampshire. Working in a small office, you will be responsible for running the full payroll process, building relationships with stakeholders and providing solutions regarding queries.



This opportunity will allow you to devise strong processes, implement changes and support the growth of the business. Using your years of experience working in accountancy practice, payroll bureau or industry - we are looking for someone to take responsibility for the end to end process for this local business.



Due to adhoc local travel this position requires you to have your own transport.



Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager
  • Running the payroll for multiple accounts of circa 150 with staff up to 350.
  • Deal with all aspects of payroll without supervision or support including HMRC submission, SSP, SMP, PAYE, NIC, RTI, Pension Processing
  • Prioritise weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll needs
  • Understand stakeholder payroll queries relating to rates, pension, systems, etc and provide clear resolutions and offer willingness to assist on site and review other payroll processors work
  • Take a strong customer service approach to all levels of work.




Key Requirements of the Payroll Manager
  • Excellent experience of a variety of payroll from Accountancy Practice, Payroll Bureau or Industry Payroll Management
  • Advanced IT skills including accountancy software (Sage or equivalent) and Microsoft packages
  • Comfortable working in small office environment and commuting between multiple offices
  • Professional, flexible and personable approach to work
  • Able to effectively manage own time and work




Salary: Circa £30,000 (DOE)

Benefits: 26 days holiday, 37.5 hours per week, pension, on site parking.



This role would suit someone that has experience in accountancy practice, payroll bureau, payroll manager, payroll senior, HMRC submission, Sage, Excel.
