Payroll Officer

Your new company
Based in Ayrshire, our client is recruiting for a part time payroll professional to join their team, on a temporary basis initially. The contract will last for a minimum of 3-6 months. There is the opportunity for a longer term role for the right candidate. The client requires the successful candidate for circa 20 hours per week and there is flexibility with these hours. The organisation can be accessed easily by public transport.

Your new role
You will join a finance team of 3 and take ownership of all payroll duties with some support from a part-time administrator. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; payroll duties for 350 staff, collating and processing timesheets, compiling wageslips, processing payments, making adjustments for SSP, SMP, SPP etc and some payroll analysis for management. The organisation use Sage Payroll and they process payroll monthly.

What you'll need to succeed
Payroll experience is essential and you must have proven success in a similar role. Applicants should be comfortable working to strict deadlines. Ideally, applicants should have exposure to Sage Payroll but this is not essential. Working as part of a small finance function, candidates should be comfortable managing their own workload but also working effectively as part of a team with an adaptable approach to undertaking extra tasks.
