Payroll & Accounts Assistant - Maternity Leave Cover Job Purpose: To prepare and process accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll related duties in an accurate, timely, professional and confidential manner. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Accounts receivable (allocations, Cash, VISA, EFT entries, bank lodgement preparation, AP/AR contra etc) • Accounts Payable (processing, coding, purchase orders and supplier invoices) • Month end journals • General accounts (Tool, Draw, Savings accounts etc., reconciliations: incl. GDS, Chorus, etc.) • Diesel orders & invoices • Petty cash • Payroll preparation & processing (including statutory uploads/downloads on ROS) • Time & Attendance (e.g. adding new employees to T&A system, processing leavers, issuing clock cards, inputting/amending absences (planned & unplanned) etc.) • Processing expense claims & bank transfers • Statutory returns • Parts receipting • Generation of ad-hoc reports as and when required • Reception Desk cover (including breaks & lunch times) • Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company • Undertake any other duties or activities as required Skills Profile: • IPASS or similar payroll qualification essential • 2+ years Payroll processing experience (preferably Micropay) • 2+ years Accounts Receivable/Account Payable experience • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills • Highly organised • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints • Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks • Competent IT Skills (including Excel, Intermediate level or above)
